Biological monitoring is based on the
analysis of antimony in urine.
Urine samples (25 ml) should be collected at
the end of shift in clean containers provided by the laboratory (to
avoid contamination issues).
There are no published biological monitoring
guidance values for occupational exposure. However background
levels for the general population are well-established and
occupational exposures can be readily distinguished.
