Book Course

DoubleTree by Hilton, York  YO31 7JA

01 July 2025

Introduction

This one-day workshop will provide a general introduction to UK Registration Procedures under the provisions of Article 34 for Plant Protection Products in accordance with Assimilated Regulation No 1107/2009 for Great Britain and Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 in Northern Ireland.

The workshop will be delivered by HSE's Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) Registration Specialists who will be available to answer your questions throughout the event.

The course will cover:

  • What is Article 34? - what it can apply to
  • Completing the application form - why we need the information we ask for
  • Data protection - what we can do if data is protected and what the applicant can do
  • What does 'comparable' mean - how scientific specialists approach evaluation and the differences in criteria for each specialist area
  • Potential outcomes and Requests for Additional Information (RAI) - things to consider when submitting data following a RAI
  • What happens when the reference product is in the 'frozen period'
