Building a robust safety culture: Insights and strategies for success
23 October 2024
Free webinar, available now to watch again!
Join us for a free,
hour-long, knowledge-sharing webinar recording presented by HSE and
industry experts, where we delved into the essential components of
fostering a strong safety culture within your
organisation.
Time: 1
hour
Platform: An 'open-to-all'
browser-based platform, collaborating with Western Business Media
who publish Health and Safety Matters Magazine.
Organisations have a legal duty to put in place suitable
arrangements to manage health and safety. In the implementation of
these arrangements, employers should consult with their employees.
Effectively managing for health and safety is not just about having
an organisational management or a safety management system. The
success of whatever process or system is in place still hinges on
the attitudes and behaviours of people in the organisation (this is
sometimes referred to as the 'safety culture'). The advice given in
the webinar will reflect the areas that HSE will consider when
assessing the effectiveness of your arrangements.
What is included in the
webinar recording?
You will:
- learn how to successfully and sustainably improve safety
culture
- watch a demonstration of the HSE Safety Climate Tool and see
how it can benefit your organisation
- hear from James Bird of Kier Transportation on how Kier has
effectively utilised the Safety Climate Tool to improve safety
culture
- discover the latest data from across the UK, showcasing both
challenges and successes in safety culture enhancement

poll which will give you a taste of our popular training course,
'Creating a Safety Culture of Excellence'

to learn how to elevate your organisation's safety
culture!

The HSE Safety Climate Tool
This tool delivers an objective measure of your 'safety climate'
- how your employees experience your safety culture. Using a
simple, online questionnaire, it explores your employees' attitudes
and perceptions in key areas, anonymously. This is a significant
starting point for any organisation looking to continually improve
and raise standards.
Carl will share some of the questions from the tool and
benchmarking data from organisations across the UK, showing where
safety culture challenges and successes are common in specific
industries.

Behavioural Safety at Kier Transportation

Building Safety Culture in to a successful Health,
