Introduction

This workshop will be delivered over two half-day sessions and will provide a general introduction to UK Registration Procedures for Plant Protection Products in accordance with Assimilated Regulation No 1107/2009. The workshop will be targeted towards those new to pesticide regulation including small businesses and those seeking an update on registration procedures post EU exit.

The session will be presented by CRD's Registration and Regulatory Specialists who will be available to answer your questions throughout the event.

The course will cover:

  • Who we are and how we can provide advice on the application process
  • What you can expect from your CRD project manager
  • When you must submit an application
  • The different types of submissions, including renewals
  • How to submit an application and what you must provide for each type of application
  • Evaluation timelines and fees
  • When and how you may be contacted for clarification
  • An introduction to CRD's specialist branches and how your submission will be evaluated
  • Advice on the format and content of labels
  • An introduction to data protection
  • The documentation you will receive on completion of our assessment
  • Changes made to guidance and processes for applicants post-EU exit

Who should attend?

This event is targeted at those new to pesticide registration in the UK with the aim of providing guidance on how to prepare submissions for plant protection product authorisations in the UK. It is also suitable for those looking for an update to their knowledge of pesticide registration processes in the light of EU-exit.

Live Online Course Information

All you will need is an internet-connected computer, laptop or tablet, plus a webcam and microphone. We do not recommend using a smartphone. Before you book, please check that you meet the Zoom System Requirements and run a diagnostic test to ensure the software is compatible with your firewall settings. If this does not work, try adjusting your settings or contact your IT department about permitting the website.
